The South Carolina salt marsh teeters between two seasons. With the sun hovering in the sky slightly longer every day and warming weather on the horizon, our thoughts race towards spring’s arrival.
We warmly welcome you to join us for the second annual children’s shark tooth hunt on Saturday, April 13 at 11 AM. Bring the entire family out to Bowen’s Island for an exciting Easter egg hunt and to enjoy the Lowcountry. Pets are always welcome too! With hundreds of local sharks teeth scattered around the island, everyone can join in on the fun.
We will be setting up three rounds of shark tooth hunts, with two separate zones based on age. During down time, you and your family can enjoy music, games, and other activities. Certain lucky participants will walk away with a prize. Hint: It will be at least 10 million years old…
Last year’s shark tooth egg hunt was a community wide success, and this year we hope to make it even better. Tickets are $10/tooth collector and can be purchased the day of with cash or card. Feel free to call our office at 843.795.0330 with any questions or concerns- or to go ahead and book your spots. Space for this event will be limited.
