Charleston Outdoor Adventures (COA) is a guiding service providing eco-touring for the general public of the greater Charleston area. Through Charleston Outdoor Adventures guiding service, owner Joseph Lotts will provide outdoor recreational eco-tours throughout the saltwater estuaries of South Carolina. The services will be providing clients the opportunities to explore the saltwater estuaries through guided kayak tours and chartered eco-tours.

Tour Location

COA is ideally located on Folly Creek just minutes from Folly Beach, 10 minutes from downtown Charleston and 25 minutes from other surrounding Charleston resort destinations. The Folly Creek estuary is a remote wilderness experience winding through the regions barrier Islands of Folly Beach, Morris Island and the historic Long Island. With this pristine and private location, we’re away from the Folly Beach and all of the congested boat traffic. Our outpost has private parking, bathroom facilities, changing facilities, cold beverages, and private on-water access to the marsh.

Our Mission

Our mission statement at Charleston Outdoor Adventures is to promote knowledge and education of South Carolina’s estuaries. Through exploration of these estuaries, we aim to enlighten and educate the general public and all of Charleston’s visitors about the natural beauties and natural resources. Charleston Outdoor Adventures is dedicated to the preservation of South Carolina’s natural resources and the wildlife that sustain within it. Environmental education is fully gained with firsthand experience of exploration of coastal ecosystem, which is the driving force behind Charleston Outdoor Adventures.
