Morris Island Lighthouse Eco-tour: 2.5 Hours
Join us on our charter boat as we explore the ebb and flow of Folly’s surrounding tidal estuaries. Home to more than 70,000 life forms, salt marshes are one of our country’s most protected natural resources. In our search for native wildlife, you’ll be amazed at the breathtaking scenery, abundant bird life and catch a glimpse of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. While viewing the dolphins, one may have the opportunity to see these extraordinary animals perform a hunting strategy known as strand feeding. Strand feeding is an adaptive hunting technique the dolphins have made famous to the Lowcountry. The exploratory boat cruise will take us through treasured tidal creeks to Morris Island Lighthouse where one will have the opportunity to set out on foot and explore the historic island and its many shells.
